Renewed Hope Children’s Home (REHOCH) is a non-profit organisation established in Kitwe, Zambia, in 2005. REHOCH supports orphaned and vulnerable children by providing shelter, education, care and practical support. It currently provides a home for 24 children and facilitates education sponsorship for more than 400 children each year.

Many of the children we support have been affected by the HIV/AIDS epidemic, including children who have lost one or both parents.

REHOCH also runs a Women Empowerment Club, youth awareness programs, tailoring and design training and a primary school on the orphanage premises.

When the school opened in 2017, it had just four preschool students. Today, it has 10 classrooms and 245 students, supported by a team of 20 staff. Eighteen students are orphans who require sponsorship to continue their education.

We keep school fees low so education remains accessible to vulnerable families. However, this results in limited income and low teacher wages, contributing to a high rate of staff turnover, which can further disadvantage students.

With the school continuing to grow, additional support is needed to provide quality education and ensure vulnerable children can stay in school.
