PLAEP
PLAEP (Partners for Life Advancement and Education Promotion) has been operating in Kitwe, Zambia for over 20 years, supporting children affected by and living with HIV.
We work in poorly resourced, low-income communities to help vulnerable children stay in school and build pathways out of poverty using a holistic three-pillar approach: improving school performance, strengthening household livelihoods and expanding psychosocial care.
The care we provide includes education and nutrition assistance, counselling, case management, and parental care training. This support helps children thrive, make informed choices, and grow with dignity, resilience and opportunity.
Over 800 vulnerable children are supported by our programs annually, and more than 5,000 women and adolescents are reached every year.
