A beacon of hope and opportunity for children and families, Shelter of Hope is committed to transforming lives through education, development and empowerment.
Nestled in the heart of Kagan Village in Homa Bay County, Shelter of Hope Academy aims to nurture and educate children in a supportive and well-equipped environment. Managed under the Brethren Assembly Fellowship and spearheaded by Ishmael Ochieng and his team, the academy ensures its programs align with both spiritual and social growth, providing children with the tools they need to mature and do well academically.
Shelter of Hope’s goals extend beyond immediate needs. A focus on water storage, sanitation facilities, and efficient project control will ensure the academy continues to thrive sustainably. Additionally, by fostering relationships with local leaders and stakeholders, the academy is laying the groundwork for the development of generational capacity.
In September 2024, MMM South Africa conducted a site visit to assess the academy's progress and offer additional guidance. Despite the challenges, the dedication of the team stands as a testament to their commitment to excellence.
