HOPE BAPTIST
ACADEMY
Hope Baptist Academy, located in Bible Hill, Rengkai, Churachandpur, Manipur, is an English Medium school, established in the year 2000. The school is managed by Board members of the New Testament Baptist Churches Association.
The aim of our school is to impart sound education by instilling in the pupils a habit of virtue, self-reliance, discipline and character. We endeavour to meet the individual needs of students and welcome the contribution they make in using their special gifts and talents so that they would be able to judge rightly, acquire sense of responsibility, respect the culture of the society and uphold the laws of the land.
Education for Internally Displaced Students
Since the outbreak of civil war in Manipur in May 2023, including the killing of 258 people and burning of thousands of houses and hundreds of churches, approximately 70,000 people have been displaced.
In October 2023, the Education Project for Internally Displaced Students was initiated. Hope Baptist Academy currently educates 547 students, of whom 255 are displaced children. We aim to support them with subsidised fees, textbooks, notebooks, transportation and uniform.
The school additionally runs a children's home that houses 50 children who are orphaned or in need of care and protection.
